This digital picture show was created as a part of the “Passing on of the Atomic Bombing Experiences by Non-hibakusha Promotion Program.” This program aims to support people who wish to pass on the hibakusha’s (atomic bomb victims) experiences, including families of hibakusha, to become storytellers of atomic bombing experiences through learning about the bombing and interacting with hibakusha. This picture show was made in 2017 by third grade students at Nagasaki City Mikawa Junior High School. They made this through listening to the firsthand experiences of atomic bomb survivor Mr. Hiroyasu Tagawa.
